Checklistz Privacy Policy
Last updated: 14th June, 2026
Your privacy matters. Checklistz is a free, ad-free Chrome extension that helps you manage your daily quick tasks. This policy explains, in plain language, what data the extension handles — and what it does not.
The short version
- We do not collect any personal information.
- No account or sign-up is required to use Checklistz.
- There are no ads, no analytics, and no trackers.
- We do not sell, trade, rent, or share your data with anyone.
What information Checklistz handles
The only data the extension works with is the content you create — your checklists and tasks. This data is stored locally within your browser using Chrome's built-in extension storage. If you are signed in to Chrome with sync enabled, your browser may sync this data across your own devices through your Google account. In either case, your task data is never sent to us or to any server we operate.
Permissions
Checklistz requests only the minimum browser permission needed to save your tasks on your device. It does not read your browsing history, the content of the websites you visit, or any other personal data.
Third parties
Checklistz does not integrate with third-party advertising or analytics services, and it does not transmit your information to third parties. We do not knowingly share any data with anyone, except where required to do so by law.
Children's privacy
Checklistz does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the extension after any change indicates your acceptance of the updated policy.
